LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - A new development may be heading to the Clays Mill Road area if an upcoming zone change is approved.
Baker Burke has lived on Jason Court for more than 35 years and says this potential change is worrisome for him and his neighbors.
“I’ve discussed this with many neighbors, and our biggest concern is the safety of our kids opening up that Loretta Drive to that neighborhood with so many units in that small area,” Burke said.
It would include 41 townhomes and an extension of the dead-end street Loretta Drive, according to a zone change application.
During a meeting with the developers on November 13, neighbors asked why the trees were removed before the zone change was approved.
