GREEN DISTRICT, Ore. - A new traffic signal on Highway 42 at Rolling Hills Road is set to be operational by Wednesday night, Nov. 19, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT).
Motorists should prepare for lane closures early this week as crews work on the installation. The new signal includes push-button crosswalks at all four sides of the intersection. ODOT advises drivers to be cautious and watch for pedestrians as they adjust to the new traffic pattern. This signal is part of a larger $11.97 million project aimed at enhancing safety features along a 4½-mile stretch of the highway.
