Dhaka [ Bangladesh ], November 17 (ANI): Bangladesh has urged India on Monday to extradite former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and former Interior Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal, as reported by Reuters.

According to Reuters, this comes after both were sentenced to death for their role in the crackdown against a student uprising in 2024.

As per Reuters, Bangladesh has said that India was obliged to do so under an extradition treaty.

Hasina responded to the verdict made against her, calling the decision made by a rigged tribunal established and presided over by an unelected government with no democratic mandate.
