The City of Scottsdale is deploying an ATV to evaluate and scan city sidewalks, curbs and more for Americans with Disabilities Act compliance.
The ATV, known as an ADA Profiler, is outfitted with LiDAR scanners and other sensors to measure intersections, sidewalks and more, according to a press release. The ATV will cover about 40 miles a day as crews assess individual neighborhoods and larger arterial roadways.
Field work will continue through January 2026 mostly during daylight hours on weekdays, according to the press release. The field work will help the city ensure that streets, sidewalks and more are ADA-compliant.
