WASHINGTON (Gray DC) - In an about-face, President Donald Trump now supports passage of a House bill that would compel the DOJ to release files - related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Less than a week after President Donald Trump failed to stop a House discharge petition, the President is now calling on House Republicans to support the legislation. The discharge petition is a parliamentary tool, in this case, utilized to force a vote on access to the full Epstein files.
In a sharp reversal, in a social media post late Sunday, President Trump said that House Republicans should support a bill that would require the Justice Department to release all of the files it has related to its criminal investigation into convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
