PITTSBURGH —

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust opened its gates to provide an up-close look at the ongoing work on Penn Avenue and Eighth Street in downtown Pittsburgh.

Many walkways are already paved, stairs are in place, and construction is happening in nearly every corner of the event space.

On the east side, downtown's first playground is being constructed. A new stage will be situated at the edge of Arts Landing along Fort Duquesne Boulevard with the Allegheny River as its backdrop.
