Authorities in Burlington County are planning to make an announcement on Tuesday about a “significant development” in the investigation into the slaying of Sasikala Narra and her 6-year-old son , Anish Narra.

Sasikala, a 38-year-old from India, and her son Anish were found stabbed to death in a unit of the Fox Meadow Apartments in Maple Shade in March 2017.

Their deaths remain unsolved and as of Monday, authorities have not announced any charges or arrests in their killings.

Police were called to a residence at the Fox Meadow Apartments on Hamilton Road in Maple Shade just after 9 p.m. on March 23, 2017, by Sasikala’s husband, Hanumantha Rao Narra, after he found the bodies of his wife and son, investigators said in 2017.

Both had sustained multiple stab wounds , authorities said
