DES MOINES, Iowa —
A child welfare task force created after the deaths of Sabrina Ray and Natalie Finn has not met since February 2024, according to Iowans serving on the panel.
State health and human services department officials have said there is no plan to meet in the future.
KCCI Investigates sought open records, interviewed task force members and requested interviews with state leaders over three months to find out what, if any, changes the task force had recommended for the children's welfare system.
Attorney Scott Wadding was involved in a settlement between the Ray children and the state.
