Bridge Road in East Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County, opened to vehicle and pedestrian traffic ahead of schedule on Monday.

The bridge had been closed since Oct. 24 for repairs and maintenance. Crews removed debris, made guide rail improvements, cleared vegetation, and made structural repairs to the bridge’s deck, piers, and beams.

The plan was for it to reopen on Nov. 24.

The bridge, which carries approximately 800 vehicles each day across the Conodoguinet Creek, connects Magaro Road with Country Club Road.

Cumberland County owns 28 bridges, including nine shared with York County and 11 that span the Conodoguinet Creek, according to a press release from the county.

The bridge project is part of a $342,223 maintenance package that includes work on other county bridges. JDI Site S
