( NewsNation ) — A New York University professor and best-selling author says men have struggled increasingly over the last two decades to find their place in society.

“We have essentially a group of people who are becoming very unproductive citizens,” Scott Galloway told NewsNation’s Elizabeth Vargas in a Monday show appearance. “The result is the depths of despair. Drunk driving accidents, suicide. Opioid addiction. Overdoses. … This is taking a real toll on households and on young men.”

Galloway says it is harmful for young men not to have a male role model to look up to or aspire to be.
