CHAGRIN FALLS, Ohio -- The Geauga Park District is hosting a dual art exhibit featuring the work of two Ohio artists with distinct perspectives.
One creates timeless oils paintings and the other photographic art.
The show opens from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday.
You are invited to meet the artists and experience nature’s color, movement and mystery through their eyes.
Painter Marilyn Shaker draws upon more than 40 years of experience in her series of paintings, titled Nature. In it, she strives to capture the depth, color and light of the natural world.
Trained at the Cleveland Institute of Art and inspired by her mentor, Charles Gruppe, she paints with realism and emotion designed to draw viewers beyond what is seen.
