The odds are stacked against Rutgers this weekend.

When the Scarlet Knights (5-5, 2-5) take on No. 1 Ohio State (10-0, 7-0) in Columbus on Saturday, they will not only be facing a defending national champion that is riding a 14-game win streak behind arguably the best defense in college football.

They will also be battling a lot of historic data in the Buckeyes’ favor.

Rutgers is 0-10 all-time against Ohio State, 0-5 in games against the No. 1 team in the Associated Press Top 25 rankings and 0-5 in games against the defending national champion in the AP Poll era (since 1936).
