Ammonium nitrate, the same explosive that killed 71 people in the 2008 Jaipur serial blasts, is being sold openly in Rajasthan, despite its role in the recent Delhi explosion. Not only ammonium nitrate but also electric detonators (ED), which have been banned nationwide since July 2025, are freely available.

A Dainik Bhaskar reporter spent three days investigating the illegal trade in Jodhpur and Beawar, posing as a customer.
