Giannis Antetokounmpo had entered the night already tagged as probable, but he still took the floor for the 8–6 Bucks, until the real shocker hit with the Cavs leading 59–57, as timelines lit up with the dreaded update: “Status alert: Giannis Antetokounmpo (groin) won’t return Monday.”

Bucks insider Eric Nehm painted the scene on X, reporting, “Giannis Antetokounmpo started grabbing at his groin as soon as he went down on that last attempt at the rim. He hobbled down the floor, committed a quick foul and immediately walked off the floor and into the locker room.”

In just 13 minutes, he dropped 14 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 4 assists but that was pretty much all his body was willing to offer tonight.
