More schools will reopen in Canberra on Wednesday with a list of current closures to be updated this evening.
The ACT government shut 70 public schools on Monday after several coloured sand products were recalled by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
Dozens reopened today, but 25 remained closed and 16 were partially closed.
At this stage, 19 schools will remain closed in the ACT tomorrow.
Fifteen schools are expected to be partially open tomorrow, but the ACT Education Directorate will also provide a further update on all school closures at 6pm.
ACT Yvette Berry said it would still be several days before all schools were reopened.
