Following its "hot tub disease" warning for the Norwegian Cruise Line , the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recently conducted a surprise health inspection on at least 191 cruise ships. Only 13% got a perfect 100 score, including the Royal Caribbean and Disney Cruise ships.

These cruise lines have consistently had high health scores in the last few years. Disney is particularly known for its rigorous sanitation standards, proving that cruise ships are not the dirty and disease-ridden floating resorts many perceive them to be.
