Red Bulls goalkeeper Carlos Coronel will hit the open market this offseason after his contract expires, ending a five-year run in New York that began in 2021.

The club confirmed the news on Monday with a post on social media thanking the goalkeeper for his time with the Red Bulls.

“Thank you for so much, Carlos. You were, are, and always will be Red,” the post said.

Talks between Coronel and the Red Bulls on an extension failed to result in a new deal for the keeper, The Athletic reported on Monday , setting the stage for him to reach free agency at the end of December.
