LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — Police say a juvenile was hit and killed near the Historic Westside Monday evening.

Officials with the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department said the crash happened after 5 p.m. near Lake Mead Boulevard, west of Concord Street. Police said the pedestrian was a juvenile and the driver was in a sedan.

Police said the driver traveled westbound on Lake Mead when the juvenile ran northbound outside a crosswalk and was hit by the sedan.

Police said the juvenile died. The driver remained on scene and did not show signs of impairment. The driver’s condition was not immediately shared.

Police say Lake Mead Boulevard is closed in both directions between Martin Luther King Boulevard and J Street.
