The Los Angeles Lakers are off to a stellar 10-4 start to the 2025–26 season, and while Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves have led the way with the best starts of their young careers, they’ve also gotten strong production elsewhere — especially from newcomers Deandre Ayton and Marcus Smart.
Now, on Tuesday night, as the Lakers get set to host the Utah Jazz, they may be getting a major reinforcement in veteran superstar LeBron James , who has missed the entire season so far with a sciatic issue.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, James has been upgraded to questionable for the matchup — a positive sign as he aims to make his season debut. James is reportedly “motivated and eager to return to action” and is “monitoring his body around the clock.”
