WASHINGTON, D.C. – FIFA is set to take over the Kennedy Center this month in preparation for the 2026 World Cup draw, scheduled for December 5.
FIFA is expected to utilize parts of the center for nearly three weeks.
Typically, outside groups pay a rental fee to use the Kennedy Center, but FIFA will be taking up residence for free.
The decision came after President Trump urged the Kennedy Center to book FIFA without charge.
As a result, some Kennedy Center events have been postponed or rescheduled to accommodate the World Cup's governing body.
