Section 9 will be well-represented at the New York State Federation cross country championships on Saturday, Nov. 22, at Bowdoin Park in Wappingers Falls.

Class D public-school champ Anna Furman of Tri-Valley will lead a five-girl contingent that includes Violet Bliss of Pine Plains; Dylan Friedman of New Paltz; Caitlyn Murphy of Wallkill; and, Chloe Goessl of Beacon.

There will be six boys who have earned spots: Warwick's Leo Shostal; Joseph Mullan of Washingtonville; Owen Shaffer-Sermini of Rondout Valley; Jackson St. Lawrence of Goshen; Nathaniel Diemoz of Wallkill; and, Luke Potter of Cornwall.

The team competition will include the Monroe-Woodbury boys and girls squads, as well as the Cornwall and Kingston girls.
