RADCLIFF, Ky. — Carlos Fernandez and Patricia Parrott face felony theft charges after the Kentucky Attorney General's (AG) office shut down their C&P Garage nonprofit through a civil suit.
Veterans around Fort Knox praised Fernandez for helping with Veterans Affairs paperwork. Those interviewed by WHAS11 said Fernandez prepared the documents, which the veterans then filed themselves.
"No, he did not take advantage of veterans," said James Paulk Jr. "He was helping them."
Paulk trusted Fernandez with his retirement benefits after a 20-year Army career.
