KEARNEY, Neb. — The Kearney Cancer Center began full operations Monday, providing comprehensive cancer treatment services to patients who previously had to travel to larger cities for care.
The building has been under construction for two years and operated partially for one month before opening all services. The facility offers radiation therapy, medical oncology, lab work and additional cancer treatment services.
“You don’t have to leave and go to a bigger town or you don’t have to leave and go down the street for procedures and other tests,” said Dr. Justin Burr, a radiation oncologist at Kearney Cancer Center. “You can really come here and feel like you don’t have to leave the campus.
