PHOENIX — A Glendale neighborhood was left without power on Monday night after a car crashed into a utility pole, authorities said.

Police investigating after man killed in shooting at Glendale apartment

According to the Glendale Police Department, officers responded to a two-vehicle crash near Peoria and 49th avenues around 6:45 p.m.

Police said that during the crash, one of the vehicle rolled over, caught fire and struck a light pole, which cut out power in the area.

As of 9:55 p.m., 35 homes were still without power and it wasn’t expected to be restored until 4:45 a.m.

According to Glendale police, occupants from both vehicles were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuri
