GREEN BAY — It was early in the second quarter of what wound up being a 27-20 victory over the New York Giants, but in the moment, the Green Bay Packers were in a seven-point hole.
And their quarterback, Jordan Love, and their running back, Josh Jacobs, were both in the visitors’ locker room of MetLife Stadium with members of the team’s athletic training and medical staffs, undergoing x-rays — Love for a left shoulder injury, Jacobs for a knee injury — and leaving Matt LaFleur trying to cobble together a touchdown drive without them.
