Liev Schreiber has been hospitalized in New York City.

On Sunday, Nov. 16, the Ray Donovan star suffered a massive headache and alerted his doctor. The Emmy nominee was instructed to go to the hospital, TMZ reported.

He was held overnight and underwent several tests. It remains unclear what has occurred.

"Out of an abundance of caution, Liev went into the hospital for testing and as of this afternoon, he has been cleared to return to work," his representative said in a statement to PEOPLE.
