SPOKANE, Wash. — We'll have to wait a bit longer for any decision on a parking tax increase in Spokane.
Council decided to table the matter during Monday night's meeting. But, even though the council didn't vote during the meeting, the proposal still drew a big community response.
The proposed parking tax got rescheduled to vote on next week after council president Betsy Wilkerson amended the tax to have it not go into effect until the start of April. This is if the council votes in favor of it.
Still, that didn't stop dozens of community members from telling the council what they feel the tax would do for the city if approved.
