MEERUT: Two sub-inspectors in Bulandshahr were suspended after a 28-year-old gang-rape survivor alleged that the officers raped her for two days and extorted Rs 50,000 by claiming the money was needed to take action against her assaulters. The woman filed a complaint last week through the Integrated Grievance Redressal System (IGRS) portal, prompting senior police officers to order an inquiry into the conduct of the officers in the Khurja area, where she had earlier lodged her gang-rape complaint.
