New Delhi/Dhaka: Bangladesh’s interim government has issued a warning to all print, electronic, and online media, asking them not to publish any statements from former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, who is described as “convicted and fugitive.”

The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), in a press release on Monday, said that Hasina’s statements could include directives or appeals that might trigger violence, unrest, or other criminal activities, potentially harming public order and social harmony, according to a report in The Daily Star.

“We urge the media to act responsibly in the interest of national security,” the release said.
