America's national parks have seen a tremendous surge in popularity over the last 20 years. Yellowstone National Park, the oldest national park in the U.S. , has seen annual visitation increase by more than two million since 2005.
The dramatic increase in recreational visits has required Yellowstone, along with many other national parks, to overhaul its infrastructure. The Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA), passed in 2020, established a Legacy Restoration Fund for national parks to address deferred maintenance and infrastructure projects, totaling $1.9 billion annually.
Yellowstone recently completed one of the largest GAOA projects to date, replacing the historic Yellowstone River Bridge, part of the original Yellowstone roadway in the Wyoming part of the park. The new bridge is
