Age may slow the body, but it rarely dims the spirit, and 87-year-old Mandakini Shah is living proof of that. The Ahmedabad native has captured hearts across the country after she opened up about her love for adventure, her bond with her younger sister Usha, and the scooter that has become their trusted companion.

While speaking to the Humans Of Bombay, she revealed, “I love going on adventures with my younger sister, Usha, and our trusty scooter!"

When someone questions her why she rides a scooter at the age of 87, she responds, “Why not? I learnt how to ride when I was 62. I’ve always been independent."
