TEXAS, USA — Popular online gaming platform, Roblox, is set to release a new facial age check to secure access to online chat features, according to a press release.
The age-based chats are designed to limit conversations to those in similar age groups, according to a press release from Roblox.
The multi-billion-dollar company also announced a dedicated Safety Center website to help parents and guardians set up parental controls in the game.
This comes weeks after Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton sued the company , alleging that Roblox ignored state and federal online safety laws, putting kids at risk of interacting with predators.
