Vehicle dwellers in the Downs to be moved after being deemed 'high impact' View Image

A group of vehicle dwellers on the Downs is set to be moved after being classed as "high impact". It comes after it was deemed that the increasing number of lived-in vehicles in the area presents “significant social, health, and environmental challenges”.

Councillors Barry Parsons and Stephen Williams made the announcement today (November 18) after a visit from the Neighbourhood Enforcement Team to areas of the Downs, near Clifton , found that several sites were being used as organised toilet facilities, filled with human waste.
