( The Hill ) — House lawmakers are poised this week to approve legislation forcing the Trump administration to release the government files on Jeffrey Epstein, but plenty of hurdles remain that could prevent any new disclosures related to the convicted child sex offender.
The House vote, scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, marks a victory for Epstein’s victims and the lawmakers in both parties who suspect there are other Epstein associates who might have committed crimes with minors but were never charged. Those voices have fought for months to move the bill to the floor over the objections of President Donald Trump and his Justice Department.
