LOUDONVILLE - Gov. Kathy Hochul’s approval ratings have slipped in recent weeks, however, she still holds a sizable lead over rival gubernatorial candidates, according to Siena College Research Institute polling released Tuesday.
A November poll saw Hochul’s favorability and job approval ratings each dropped with her favorability falling from 45% in favor and 42% not in favor to 43%-45% and her job approval ratings dropping from 54%-40% to 52-43%. Despite the slip, Hochul still holds a 40-point lead in the Democratic primary against Lt. Governor Antonio Delgado (56%-16%) and a 20-point lead over Republican contender, U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-Saratoga (52%-32%).
