Following a sold-out tour last year with Allison Krauss, singer Robert Plant is back on the road again with a new band and recording.
Robert Plant and Saving Grace feat. Suzi Dian came together informally when Plant met some local musicians at his area pub and a collaboration began. First united in 2019, the band went into heavy rehearsals in preparation for its debut album playing a few shows and even appearing on occasion as a surprise opening act for legendary U.K. folk rock group Fairport Convention.
When COVID-19 broke out, the project was shelved until this year with the release of the self-titled debut on Nonesuch Records on Sept. 26. Three singles have been released from the album. The African American spiritual Gospel Plough, a cover of indie lo-fil group Low’s Everybody’s Song
