A woman was hospitalized after an accidental shooting at a Mount Joy Township gun store Sunday afternoon.
Around 1:25 p.m. Lancaster County-Wide dispatchers reported that a woman had suffered a gunshot wound in the thigh at the gun range at Freedom Armory on the 900 block of North Hanover street near Elizabethtown.
Both Elizabethtown and Northwest Regional police responded to the incident. The woman was transported to a hospital with what police described as non-life-threatening injuries.
According to Northwest Regional Police Sgt. Mike Bryant, charges will not be filed related to the incident. Police declined to release additional information on the shooting.
Managers at the store declined to comment, as the company is investigating the inciden
