Egypt has witnessed one of its most significant electoral disruptions in recent years, as parliamentary votes were annulled in over a quarter of first-round constituencies. The annulment comes as part of a process to form the final parliament of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's third term.

The National Elections Authority announced the cancellation of votes in 19 of the 70 constituencies where individual candidates competed, citing appeals and documented violations. Among the breaches were electoral advertisements in front of polling stations and inconsistencies in vote tallies.
