The Dallas Cowboys were victorious on Monday night against the Las Vegas Raiders, but things started out a bit wonky. Vegas won the opening coin toss and chose to defer which put the Cowboys on the field first.

Interestingly, as the Cowboys went out on offense, they did so without both CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens. The Monday Night Football broadcast began speculating what this was all about and quickly reported that it had to do with a “coach’s decision” from Brian Schottenheimer and that it was not injury related.

Schotty spoke about the matter following the win and reiterated that line. Jerry Jones spoke the following morning during his standard Tuesday appearance on 105.3 The Fan and offered a similar explanation, although he did add a bit more detail.
