Balangir: The mortal remains of Humane Sagar, a celebrated voice in the Odia music industry, were laid to rest at Titilagarh in Balangir district on Tuesday evening.

Thousands of fans, admirers and music lovers gathered to bid an emotional farewell to the popular singer, who breathed his last at AIIMS-Bhubaneswar last night at the age of 35. ADVERTISEMENT

As the burial was held, people from different parts of Balangir, Kantabanji, Saintala and nearby areas poured in to have a last glimpse of the singer. As the body reached his hometown, mourners made a beeline to pay homage to Sagar, who had forged an emotional bond with listeners over the years. Family members, relatives and fans offered prayers and paid their last respects as the funeral rites were conducted in a sombre atmosphere.
