A brand new FBI season 8 trailer shows Scola's life in danger. The FBI franchise has gone through several major changes in the last few years. CBS' cancelation of FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International despite being some of the most-watched shows downsized the once operating universe to just one show for the 2025-2026 network TV cycle .

In a smaller capacity, FBI itself has gone through major facelifts, all starting when Tiffany left the force. Since then, Scola was left without a permanent partner, as CBS went through the process of introducing and then eventually writing out characters that could fill the void that Katherine Kane left. Juliana Aidén Martinez's Eva Ramos is currently Scola's partner . But as that aspect of his story stabilizes, another one gets chaotic.
