The Daily Star’s world famous lettuce appears to have been immortalised in a new hit book.
In the latest Slow Horses novel, one of the central characters - spook chief Diana Taverner - says, “So don’t think all you need to do is issue a few vague threats and I’ll crumple like last week’s lettuce”.
It's the most recent instalment in the hit spy series - made famous by Apple TV's adaptation starring Gary Oldman - since ’Lettuce’ Liz Truss became Britain’s shortest-serving PM back in October 2022.
