The Death in Paradise Christmas special’s plot has been revealed as stars from Doctor Who and Ted Lasso have joined the popular BBC series cast.

Premiering back in 2011 and created by Robert Thorogood, Death in Paradise is one of the BBC’s most successful crime dramas of all time.

The crime-of-the-week style series follows English detectives solving crimes on the fictional Caribbean island of Saint Marie.

Initially led by Primeval’s Ben Miller for its first three seasons, the series has featured Love Actually’s Kris Marshall, Father Ted’s Ardal O'Hanlon and The Royle Family’s Ralf Little in the lead role over the years.
