Staten Island residents can expect a cool Tuesday with increasing clouds, followed by a chance of light rain overnight. The National Weather Service forecasts temperatures reaching the mid to upper 40s today before precipitation moves in late tonight.

According to the weather service, a weak low pressure system will pass south of the area late Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, bringing light precipitation to coastal areas including Staten Island. While most of the borough will likely see light rain, the precipitation is expected to be minimal with less than a tenth of an inch forecasted. As noted by AccuWeather , a few wet snowflakes may mix in with this precipitation late Tuesday into early Wednesday. Overnight temperatures will range from the upper 30s to lower 40s.
