One of the biggest complications the Marvel Cinematic Universe is facing these days is that there seems to be a lack of cohesion. The first three Phases all managed to effectively build towards the clash with Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame , with very few loose threads left behind.

Unfortunately, the story since then has been all over the place. Characters have popped up and never been heard from again, stories get set up and never followed up, and things are teased that are seemingly going nowhere. Even with Avengers: Doomsday on the horizon , we've only had a small glimpse at Doctor Doom and nothing more.
