Did your internet break this morning? For thousands of Alabamians, the world wide web slammed shut as a massive Cloudflare outage affected websites across the internet, including X, Spotify, Google Store and some Alabama government sites.
The widespread service disruption began before 6 a.m. CT, Tuesday, Nov. 18, as reports of multiple platforms being down spiked across the state. The company was quick to acknowledge the massive problem, saying they were aware of "an issue which potentially impacts multiple customers" and they were investigating.
A Cloudflare spokesperson said the company observed a "spike in unusual traffic" to one of its services around 6:20 a.m. EST." On the company's status page , as of 8:22 a.m. CST, they noted that they were continuing to work on fixing the
