LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
Louisville's mayor and local leaders gave an update Tuesday on the deadly UPS plane crash at the Louisville airport, which was two weeks ago.
For the first time, we heard directly from the president of UPS Airlines, Bill Moore.
"I want to express how deeply saddened I am, as well as our entire community about flight 2976. My words cannot describe how painful it has been over the last two weeks," he said.
Moore said UPS has been in direct contact with the families of the victims and they are offering any support they need, including financial.
Crews are still at the site of the crash to clean up the area and make sure it is safe for businesses.
LG&E says it's working to replace a gas pipeline along Grade Lane, which could take several weeks.
