PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. (WCAX) - A New York man is accused of stabbing a person who tried to stop him from shoplifting at a Plattsburgh store.
State police say it happened Monday morning at Runnings, a home and farm supplies store on Centre Drive.
Troopers say Dylan Blake, 25, of Plattsburgh, a New York state parolee, walked out of the store without paying for a shopping cart full of tools. When bystanders tried to stop him, police say he stabbed one of them in the leg.
Blake ran off but was arrested on Tuesday morning.
He’s charged with robbery and is being held at the Clinton County Jail on bail.
The victim was treated at the hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.
