CARLISLE TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WOIO) - A Keystone Local School District bus overturned after getting hit by a car that failed to yield at a stop sign, the Ohio State Highway Patrol stated.
OSHP’s Elyria Post said the crash happened at 9:36 a.m. at the intersection of SR-301 and Parsons Road in Carlisle Township in Lorain County.
A 2006 Buick heading eastbound on Parsons Road failed to yield at a stop sign and struck the school bus that was going southbound on SR-301, OSHP stated, which caused the bus to overturn.
OSHP confirmed no students were on the bus at the time of the crash.
However, one aide and on the bus with the bus driver, according to OSHP.
Both were wearing their seat belts, OSHP said, and suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
