COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Bartholomew County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on drug charges with the aid of K9 partner on November 15.

K9 Deputy Dylan Prather was in the area of River Rd and E 550 N when he observed the driver of a vehicle was not wearing a seat belt. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle. During the course of the traffic stop K9 Frizko alerted on the vehicle. During a search of the vehicle and the occupants the passenger, Jeremy Cox 45yo of Shelbyville, was found to have concealed approximately 30 grams of methamphetamine on his person. Cox was taken into custody and transported to the Bartholomew County Jail.

Cox was booked on the charges of:

Possession of Methamphetamine

Possession of Marijuana

Possession of Paraphernalia.
